How businesses recruit and hire new workers is going to change in 2018, according to the 2018 Global Recruiting Trends report. According to LinkedIn authors Maria Ignatova and Kate Reilly, technology and new tools will allow employers to focus on the human part of personnel.

Based on responses from 9,000 talent leaders and hiring managers, they concluded that diversity, new interviewing tools, data and artificial intelligence.

“Hiring talent has become highly transactional,” they write. “The tedious candidate searches, the endless scheduling, and the repetitive screening can be inefficient and mind-numbing. It’s time for a new era of recruiting that focuses on the more gratifying parts of the job — the human part, the strategic part.”
