Yesterday, the House Rules Committee voted along party lines to amend the American Health Care Act. The amendment would create a $15 billion program to help HHS, in coordination with states, establish federal high risk insurance pools. The fund would subsidize the cost of health insurance coverage for people with serious and expensive preexisting medical conditions.
