The Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s Student Leaders® Program is accepting applications for the 2019 program.  We are asking for your help to identify outstanding young people who are passionate about making a difference in our community. 

Since its inception in 2005, the Bank of America Student Leaders Program has recognized more than 3,000 exemplary high school juniors and seniors who have a passion for improving their communities. 

As a Student Leader, they will participate in an eight-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization where they will learn first-hand about the needs of ours communities and the critical role nonprofits play. In addition, they will learn valuable civic, social and business leadership skills. Each Student Leader will attend the Student Leaders Summit held in Washington, D.C. where they will learn how government, business and the nonprofit sector work together to address critical community needs.

To become a Student Leader, they must:

  • Currently be a junior or senior in high school.
  • Be able to participate in an 8-week paid summer internship at a local nonprofit organization and work 35 hours a week.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship through September 2019.
  • Be able to participate in a week-long Student Leaders Summit in Washington, DC (July 8- July 13, 2019). All expenses are paid. This week will be part of their 8-week experience.
  • Be a student in good standing at their school.
  • Obtain a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator.
