The Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce recently honored Berkeley College and its president, Diane Recinos, as its Business Education Partnership Champion during the chamber’s 58th Annual Chairman’s Awards Dinner.

The annual Chairman’s Awards Dinner provides an opportunity for the community to recognize those individuals, organizations, and businesses who are distinguishing themselves through their good works and serve as an inspiration to others. Berkeley College’s Woodbridge campus has been a mainstay of the community for 40 years.

“On behalf of the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce, we were honored to recognize Berkeley College and Dr. Diane Recinos as our Business Education Partnership Champion,” said Holly B. Church-Doyle, executive director, Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce.

“Berkeley College has been, and continues to be, a strong supporter within the Chamber of Commerce and the Woodbridge community,” she said. “We are fortunate to have partners and advocates that continually stand for economic development, growth within our communities, and the support of our future.”

Berkeley College officials have served in various roles with the chamber as well as with the Main Street Special Improvement District and the Woodbridge Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO). The college also supports nonprofits and community organizations through its BerkeleyCares initiative.

Berkeley College students have served as interns and are employed by Woodbridge Township, the Woodbridge Fire Department, and several other local organizations. The college has also established Corporate Learning Partnerships with Woodbridge companies to offer discounted tuition to employees seeking to learn new skills or pursue a degree to advance their careers.
