NJBIA Chief Government Affairs Officer Chrissy Buteas will speak about the “Legislative Outlook for New Jersey Business” during the Monmouth Ocean Development Council’s (MODC) membership luncheon on June 17 at the Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune.

Buteas, who leads the nation’s largest, most impactful statewide business association, will provide attendees with an overview of important legislation that lawmakers may act on, as well as budget factors affecting New Jersey businesses. The $48.9 billion state budget proposal that Gov. Phil Murphy submitted to the Legislature must be acted upon by July 1 when the FY23 budget year begins.

Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon will be on hand at the June 17 meeting to install new MODC officers and directors. Outgoing board members will also be recognized at this meeting as well.

The cost to attend, which includes the luncheon, is $45 for MODC members and $55 for non-members. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. To learn more, or to register, go here.
