Affordable Employee Training Exclusively for NJBIA Members LEARN MORE

On Tuesday, June 18, former New Jersey governors, members of Congress, and legislative leaders past and present will join more than 200 business people celebrating the 60th anniversary of NJBIA’s Employer Legislative Committees (ELCs), the 21 independent county affiliates that have been providing effective grassroots organization for business since 1959.

The event, which will be held from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Ocean Place Resort, 1 Ocean Blvd., Long Branch, will also honor NJBIA Vice President Frank Robinson, the longtime executive director of the ELCs, for his 40 years of service in Trenton.

Honorary co-chairs include New Jersey’s U.S. Senators, members of Congress, five former New Jersey governors, the current and former lieutenant governor, as well as legislative leaders, both past and present. Many have been frequent guests over the years at the ELC breakfasts, luncheons and state dinners, which give local business leaders the opportunity to meet directly with federal, state, county and local officials to discuss business issues.

Robinson, a Hudson County native, began his career as a legislative aide in the General Assembly and served as the executive director of the Assembly Democratic Office under former Assembly Speaker Joseph Doria. In 2002, Robinson joined NJBIA, where he is the Vice President of Government Affairs & Grassroots and has served as ELC executive director for nearly 17 years.
