United Way of Northern NJ is bringing businesses together to elevate ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). ALICE is a way to define those households with full-time or even multiple jobs, that earn more than the Federal Poverty Level but still cannot afford the essentials needed to survive. Individuals who are vulnerable and just one crisis away from financial disaster.
This course will show workplace leaders how to assess their existing policies, improve them, and start taking steps that can result in tangible benefits – for employees and workplace culture – as well as for a business’s bottom line. Join us for an informative meeting that will include an action-oriented discussion about how you can make life better for ALICE employees, vendors, customers, and community members. Join us to learn more about ALICE, share best practices, generate ideas, brainstorm strategies, and form solutions.
