Update on the DEP’s Adoption of the Environmental Justice Rules
This meeting will focus on an update on the DEP’s adoption of the rules on environmental justice, what was changed on adoption, explanations in the summary document, and what to expect on implementation. The focus will be mainly on the actual implementation issues. In order to accommodate the schedule of DEP Deputy Commissioner Sean Moriarty, who has agreed to talk to us about the environmental justice rule adoption, we are rescheduling our May 5 Energy and Environment Policy Committee meeting to May 18 at 3:00 pm. Joining the Deputy Commissioner will be Dave Pepe, Director of the Office of Permitting and Project Navigation. Additional speakers include Toby Hanna of ERM, our committee Chair, John Valeri of CSG, and Chris Whitehead of Enviro Sciences.
