Joining us will be Assemblymen Roy Freiman (D-16) and Brian Rumpf (R-9), both members of the Assembly Budget Committee, who will share their perspectives on the FY27 State Budget and discuss what they anticipate in the months ahead.

Deputy Majority LeaderAssemblymember Roy Freiman (D- Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset)
Assemblyman Roy Freiman has been serving in the New Jersey General Assembly since January 2018, and is currently Deputy Majority Leader, representing the 16th legislative district in Central Jersey.
His dedication to the needs of his constituents is reflected in his active participation on several committees; as the Chair of Financial Institutions and Insurance, Vice-Chair of Oversight, and member of the Budget Committee. He was previously the Chair of the Agriculture Committee where he focused on the critical need of preserving New Jersey’s farmland, open spaces, and food insecurity.
His education and professional experience has bolstered his effectiveness as a legislator. Roy holds a B.S. in Business & Economics from The State University of New York at Oneonta and he previously held leadership positions with Prudential Financial. He brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to his role, preparing him to help improve New Jersey’s financial position. He has demonstrated a commitment to improving the state’s economy for hard-working families and businesses.
When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him with his wife and two dogs, wearing his Crocs, and optimistically cheering for the Mets!
