The New York Giants plan to expand and renovate their football training headquarters, with a new facility focused on player performance, preparation and recovery.
The project will add about 93,500 square feet of new construction and renovate another 46,000 square feet at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. The work is expected to be completed before the 2028 season.
The Giants have hired EwingCole, of Philadelphia, to design the project and Natoli Construction Corp., of Montville Township, to build it. The cost was not disclosed.
The expansion will include a locker room of more than 6,000 square feet with 100 full-size lockers and an 11,000-square-foot weight room with a nutrition bar and cardio mezzanine overlooking the indoor field.
The project will triple the size of the team's sports medicine and rehabilitation space and add recovery and wellness areas with hydrotherapy, steam rooms, saunas, red light therapy, cryotherapy, dry float tanks and hyperbaric chambers.
The facility will also include updated player and team areas designed to support football operations throughout the week.
"This is a significant investment in the future of our football operation," Giants President and CEO John Mara said in a statement on Monday. "We believe it is our responsibility to provide our players, coaches, and staff with the resources and environment they need to succeed."
The Giants completed a renovation and expansion of the facility's cafeteria earlier this year.
Jonathan Tisch, treasurer of the Giants, said the project is intended to reflect the team's identity while incorporating modern approaches to player performance and team operations.
"Every design decision was made with purpose — from how players move through the building to how a team connects and collaborates," Tisch said in a statement.
The Quest Diagnostics Training Center will remain the hub of the Giants' business and football operations while the expansion and renovations are underway.
