NJBIA will be honoring six trailblazers with leadership awards at the 12th Annual New Jersey Women Business Leaders Forum, the state’s premier professional women’s conference powered by Citizens, which is taking place Sept. 23-24 in Atlantic City.
One of the state’s most accomplished public sector leaders, New Jersey Chief Operating Officer Kellie Doucette, will kick off the two-day event and help recognize the award winners:
- Chrissy Buteas, president & CEO of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey, who will be receiving the Women for Change Award.
- Former Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, who is currently a partner at the Connell Foley law firm and the president and CEO of the nonprofit Mercy Center Corporation. Guadagno will be receiving the prestigious Caren Franzini Leadership Award.
- Christina M. Renna, president & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey, who will be receiving the Community Impact Award.
- Reshma Saujani, founder & CEO of Moms First, and also founder of Girls Who Code, who will be receiving the Women in Advocacy Award.
- Richard Thigpen, senior VP Corporate Citizenship, Public Service Enterprise Group, who will be receiving the NJBIA EmpowerHER Award.
- Briana Vannozzi, Emmy-award winning journalist and news anchor at NJ Spotlight News, who will be receiving the Women in Media Award.
Since 2015, WBLF events have inspired thousands of attendees to break barriers, build businesses, launch successful careers and work to make New Jersey’s C-suites and boardrooms more diverse. The two-day event brings together hundreds of women and men for engaging workshops, dynamic TED-style talks and inspiring keynotes from renowned speakers.
