On this weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, Jeff Hanscom, Vice President of State & Local Government Relations for the International Franchise Association, talks with host Bob Considine about the opportunities for becoming a franchisee and the need for New Jersey to have more of them before the World Cup arrives in 2026.

Also, on this weekend’s Minding Your Business, NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka visits McDonald’s owner Celest Quintana in Jersey City and discusses the challenges of running several “penny-profit” businesses, but the rewards of giving back to the communities her restaurants serve.

The segment is the first of NJBIA’s ‘Year of the Business Owner” campaign on Minding Your Business, which focuses on the personal stories of business owners who take risks and rise above to provide the products, services and jobs that support New Jersey’s economy.

Additionally, NJBIA Vice President of Strategic Partnerships Kate Conroy joins Communications Director Vinnie Civitillo to discuss upcoming NJBIA events including Insights & Outlooks on March 10, the Not-for-Profit Summit on March 21 and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Summit on April 18.
