Mercer County and UCEDC, a nonprofit economic development corporation, are teaming up to present four free in-person workshops designed to help Mercer County businesses rebound and thrive.

The workshops will be offered on consecutive Wednesdays in June from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mercer County Connection, 957 Highway 33, Hamilton Square Shopping Center, Hamilton. Each workshop will include information about Mercer County’s business incentives and loan programs.

Part 1: Business Reassessment, June 8
Small businesses should have a plan to enhance their customer experience, as well as their customer-focused strategies coming out of a crisis. This in-person workshop re-emphasizes the fundamentals of business ownership, with a focus on refreshing the business plan for sustainability. To register, click here.

Part 2: Marketing Strategy, June 15
This workshop will review the basic principles of marketing strategy, and the application of the “4Ps of marketing,” SWOT analysis and target marketing, as well as assist in making effective local advertising choices, including social media, as part of a complete digital marketing plan. Part 3: Basic Financial Statements & Profitability, June 22
Understanding your financial statements is fundamental for maintaining your business profitability, and to monitor what changes may be necessary in the way you do business, in order to reach your financial goals. This workshop reviews the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement. To register, click here.

Part 4: Projecting Financial Results, June 29
Projecting financial results is critical in preparing your business plan and in determining if the business will be financially sustainable. This final workshop in the series will focus on sales projections, expense projections and responsibly projecting your cash flow. To register, click here.
