Trenton and the Newark-Jersey City area are among the cities that are leading employment growth in every state, according to an analysis by Wall St. 24/7 published by Yahoo Finance news website.

Trenton was listed with an 8.1 percent employment-growth rate from 2012 to 2017, and the New York-Newark-Jersey City area had a 6.7 percent job growth.

For the survey, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed employment growth in 398 metropolitan areas over the past five years with data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Since 2009, employment in metropolitan areas has grown at three times the rate in nonmetropolitan areas, the article said.
