Sen. Joe Lagana (D-38), chair of the Senate Commerce Committee, is hosting an Economic Kick-Off Reception on Thursday, June 11, to celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming to northern New Jersey.
The event will take place at 2 p.m. at Stew Leonard’s at 700 Paramus Park in Paramus and will feature a host of elected officials, community leaders and local business leaders.
According to a flyer for the event, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is projected to bring a $3.3 billion boost to the New Jersey/New York region, and it will support over 26,000 jobs.
