Summit-based pharmaceutical company Celgene has released its 2019 Corporate Responsibility Report, Bold Science, Promise for Patients, detailing how it supports the communities and protects the environment in the course of conducting its international business.

In an email announcing release of the report, Celgene Executive Vice President Richard Bagger said the company is helping build healthcare capacity in under-resourced settings and expand patient access to life-saving treatments. It also has been recognized as one of the top employers in the world.

“Celgene takes pride in the progress detailed in this report, but we are also motivated by the knowledge that there is much more to do. We are excited by the prospect of carrying our passion forward and continuing to advance our corporate responsibility and sustainability efforts,” Bagger wrote.

Among the accomplishments cited in the report are:

  • Online list prices and real-world patient cost-sharing information for its entire portfolio of medicines;
  • $300 million in health insurance co-pay support over the three years, lowering costs for about 140,000 patients;
  • 62 new programs operating in 88 countries to treat non-communicable diseases, such as cancer;
  • Recognition as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality with an outstanding score of 100% for 2019; and
