The Ladies Professional Golf Association has issued a call to businesses, nonprofits and other organizations for volunteers needed to staff concession stands at the 2022 LPGA Cognizant Founders Cup, which is being hosted at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton May 11–15.

“This is a great fundraising and team-building opportunity for organizations – and a really fun way to enjoy the outdoors and watch some of the best professional golfers in the world compete in one of the most celebrated tournaments on the LPGA calendar,” said Becky Newell, senior director of sponsorships for LPGA Properties.

Volunteers are needed to work various shifts at several grill locations and snack tents throughout the day during the tournament. Classic Sports Catering (CSC) provides all equipment and products needed at each concession and volunteers earn 6% commission on sales at their locations for their respective organizations.

CSC staff will train all volunteers on contactless POS equipment. At the end of the day, volunteers will inventory products and supplies to ensure their concession location is properly stocked for the next day. Any volunteer who works at least a four-hour shift will also get a meal coupon redeemable for a free sandwich, snack and a can soda or bottled water.

Any business or organization interested in providing volunteers for concession stands is asked to contact Newell at Becky.Newell@lpga.com.

Upper Montclair Country Club is one of NJ’s premier golf clubs, and the acclaimed venue, which has hosted hundreds of the world’s best players over many decades, will challenge defending Champion Jin Young Ko; New Jersey’s own Marina Alex; and the elite field of LPGA TOUR golfers.

The prestigious event pays tribute to the 13 founding members of the LPGA and is focused on engaging and empowering women in sports and business.
