Environmental philanthropists Valerie and Frank Montecalvo, owners of the Bayshore Family of Companies, will be honored by the Monmouth Conservation Foundation at its Fall for Conservation event on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Navesink Country Club in Red Bank.
The couple are longstanding supporters of the Monmouth Conservation Foundation (MCF) and land preservation efforts in Monmouth County. Valerie has served as an MCF trustee and helped champion the preservation of the 90-acre Scudder Preserve in Middletown.
Environmental stewardship has been a longstanding part of the Montecalvos’ business and philanthropic activities. As owners of Bayshore Recycling, a 58-acre eco-complex powered with renewable energy in Keasbey, their operations keep millions of tons of construction debris and waste out of landfills while significantly lowering carbon emissions.
The MCF Fall for Conservation is an indoor-outdoor celebration that takes place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and includes dinner stations, craft cocktails, silent and live auctions, and live music by the Priceless Band. For tickets and sponsorship and advertising opportunities, go here. The deadline for sponsorship opportunities is Sept. 22.
Proceeds from the event support the charitable work of the foundation, a nationally accredited independent nonprofit land trust that works to permanently protect Monmouth County’s open space, farmland, and natural habitats. MCF works collaboratively as a facilitator across landowners to leverage funding through local, county, state, and federal partners.
