The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is accepting nominations through Aug. 15 for its 2025 Ovation Awards honoring professionals whose exemplary efforts and stellar achievements are advancing New Jersey’s accounting profession.
According NJCPA, the awards recognize professionals who go above and beyond through selfless volunteerism, meaningful contributions and considerable efforts to improve the accounting profession as well as work to engage the next generation of young professionals.
Nominations can be made online here in six categories: Impact, Innovation, Emerging Leader, Exceptional Educator, Lifetime Leader and Woman to Watch. Individuals can self-nominate or nominate a colleague. Only NJCPA members are eligible for the Emerging Leader, Woman to Watch and Lifetime Leader categories, but nonmembers are eligible for the other awards.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Aug. 15. Winners will be notified on Sept. 11 and featured later this year on the NJCPA’s IssuesWatch podcast and New Jersey CPA magazine.
“We look forward to celebrating all our Ovation Award winners, whose dedication to the profession, their colleagues and their communities is unmatched,” said Aiysha (AJ) Johnson, CEO and executive director at the NJCPA. “These awards are also a great way to recognize those unsung heroes in our paths who work tirelessly to help others and make accounting such a wonderful career route.”
