The latest data from tracktherecovery.org shows that New Jersey had 31.2% fewer small businesses open on Nov. 16 than it did on Jan. 1 of this year. 

The website, which is powered by Opportunity Insights, also shows the leisure and hospitality industry has been hardest hit since the pandemic, with a sobering 45.6% fewer of those small businesses open in the same time frame.  

Small businesses in the education and health services industry are down 29.5%
