NJBIA President and CEO Michele N. Siekerka, Esq. released the following statement today in observation of Juneteenth.

“During this profound moment in our nation’s history, NJBIA joins the millions of people and businesses in recognition of the significance of Juneteenth today.

“While as a nation, we find ourselves at a time of unrest, we also find ourselves at a time of heightened awareness and civic engagement. We see businesses acknowledging where we stand as a nation and taking actions toward greater diversity, equity and inclusion within their own walls, as well as in their communities.

“Collectively, we must carry forward this momentum and put words to action if we really want to effectuate change. To that end, we will continue to strive to be part of the solution through providing resources and collaboration toward open public discourse that includes broadened perspectives, increased understanding and evolving education.

“As we stand together, we always stand stronger.”
