The New Jersey Business and Industry Association submitted a letter to the New Jersey Congressional delegation opposing the implementation of the Health Insurance Tax (HIT).
NJBIA believes the tax, which is set to go into effect soon unless Congress acts, will raise the cost of insurance. As such, NJBIA requested the HIT tax remain on hold indefinitely.
The tax and spend policies have, and will continue to drive business out of our state along with the jobs they supply.
The businesses that cannot leave for various reasons will find ways to reduce labor through mechanization and technology.
This will create a bigger burden on government services which in turn brings more taxes on an ever shrinking base of taxpayers.
