NJBIA Vice President of Government Affairs Althea D. Ford will be the keynote speaker at Berkeley College’s 14th Annual Women’s History Month celebration, which brings women and men together to celebrate the power of community, unity, and shared progress.

The forward-looking event, which is open to faculty, staff, students and the community at-large, takes place Monday, March 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the college’s Woodland Park Campus, located at 44 Rifle Camp Road.

This year’s theme, Moving Forward Together Positively: Continuing the Conversation,” builds on the momentum of last year’s event by bringing together voices of women and men in community leadership and government from both sides of the aisle for a meaningful dialogue.

Panelists participating in the event include:

  • Orlando Cruz, Deputy Director, Passaic County Board of Commissioners and President of the Greater Paterson Chamber of Commerce
  • Cassandra “Sandi” Lazara, Director of the Passaic County Board of Commissioners
  • Michael Melham, Mayor of Belleville
  • Christina Schratz, Passaic County Commissioner
  • Howard Haughton, CEO of Eva’s Village, a nonprofit that supports people experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, substance use disorders, and mental health challenges.
