New Jersey’s Chief Operating Officer Kellie Doucette will discuss business in the Garden State during an event hosted by the Employer Legislative Committees (ELCs) of Monmouth and Ocean counties on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Ocean County College.
Doucette, a Harvard graduate with a degree in economics, is New Jersey’s first COO, a role created to drive efficiency, transparency, and accountability throughout state government. She has had an instrumental role in Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s 21-county business outreach tour, meeting with employers to identify challenges, opportunities, and ways to reduce government red tape.
The joint ELC event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sept. 23 in Ocean County College’s Technology Building’s lecture hall. For registration information, go to the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council’s events website or contact Tommy Watters at tommy@modc.com.
Employer Legislative Committees, established by NJBIA in 1959, are independent, local organizations representing all 21 counties. ELCs regularly host legislators, cabinet members, or local officials to discuss issues pertinent to business.
