NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka left attendees at the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Summit on Thursday a simple message about coronavirus: Be responsible.
Maddy Vitale of the OC NJ Daily, wrote that ultimately, the hope is the coronavirus crisis will be over before the kickoff to the summer season in May. Until then, businesses should be aware of the wage and hour issues involved if employees have to stay home for extended periods, and try to be flexible with work at home arrangements.
“Let’s be responsible,” Siekerka told the group. “Make sure you are connected to what you need for yourself, your business, your employees and your community.”
