The Caucus Educational Corporation (CEC), a not-for-profit television production company that produces a wide variety of programming, including “One-on-One with Steve Adubato,” is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special week of programming beginning Nov. 11.

The retrospective programming includes many prominent federal and state leaders including U.S. Senator Cory Booker and former New Jersey Governor Tom Kean, Sr.

“One-on-One with Steve Adubato” consists of nightly in-depth interviews with some of the region’s most compelling personalities. Anchored by Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, Steve Adubato, Ph.D., the CEC has produced more than 2,500 programs covering topics such as public policy, lifestyle, the arts, education, healthcare, business, and more.

In 1994, Adubato, together with a group of entrepreneurial broadcast professionals in the public television community, created the CEC. The CEC has transformed from a small non-profit television production company to a dynamic producer of multi-media content that appears on PBS stations NJ PBS, Thirteen/WNET, and WHYY; on cable on News 12+; and on digital platforms including Steve Adubato.org, YouTube, Thirteen.org, MyNJPBS.org, the Thirteen Explore app, and the NJ PBS app.

CEC programming reaches more than 10 million households in five states, including New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Select programming can be seen on CEC’s partner websites, including, NJ.com, NJBIZ.com, ROI-NJ.com, Meadowlands.org, NJBIA.org, InsiderNJ.com, and CIANJ social media platforms.

All programs have been made possible through the support of sponsors and underwriters who value public television.

In 2011, the CEC joined with its media partner, WNET – the PBS flagship station in New York – to contribute to the creation of New Jersey’s new public television station, NJ PBS, formerly NJTV. Today, the CEC is a significant independent programmer of education, arts, and public affairs content on NJ PBS.

According to Neal Shapiro, president and CEO of The WNET Group, who led the effort to create NJ PBS, In public media, it is our job to reach out and find other smart voices in New Jersey…There is no better example than Steve Adubato, someone who’s a smart journalist who has a wealth of experience.”

In addition to “One-on-One with Steve Adubato” the CEC produces other series’ including: “State of Affairs,” the weekly, public policy series exploring critical New Jersey issues; “Think Tank,” featuring leaders, innovators and experts who tackle broader national policy issues impacting New Jersey and the region; and “Remember Them,” featuring Adubato and co-anchor Jacqui Tricarico, highlighting New Jersey notables who have passed away, but whose legacies have a significant impact.

According to Adubato, “As we celebrate 30 years, producing and broadcasting programming that matters is more important than ever…Together with our partners in public broadcasting, especially WNET and NJ PBS, we thank our loyal viewers and underwriters.”
