Although financial and cultural challenges may present initial barriers to collaboration between community colleges and industry, overcoming these difficulties can make a big impact on local efforts to boost workforce development, according to a new report by Elizabeth Mann of Brookings’ Brown Center on Education Policy.

The report, “Connecting Community Colleges with Employers: A Toolkit for Building Successful Partnerships” offers practical advice on how community colleges can build relationships with business and industry leaders in order to build strong workforce development programs.
