NJBIA Workplace Infectious Disease Guidelines

Employees, tenants and visitors entering the NJBIA office based on their schedule/discretion, or to conduct internal meetings in the office, please see the following guidelines recommended by the CDC and the NJBIA Healthy Business Certification Program which must be followed:

  1. Submit the Self-Certification Form at the bottom of this page in the morning before you arrive in the building using this link (which can be bookmarked for easy access) which will go to Alice Gens and Beth McGrane only.  Paper copies for visitors will be available at the door.
  2. Disposable KN95 masks will be provided and must be worn in all public spaces. No personal masks are permitted that are not N95 or KN95.
  3. Sign in and out at the front door.
  4. Take advantage of the hand sanitizers available around the building, and regularly wash your hands
  5. Keep a distance of at least 6 feet from other individuals in the building.

NJBIA reserves the right to change this policy at any time.

      IMPORTANT: ANSWER “YES” EVEN IF YOU BELIEVE THE SYMPTOM(S) IS BECAUSE OF SOME OTHER MEDICAL CONDITION (FOR EXAMPLE, ANSWER “YES” IF YOU HAVE A RUNNY NOSE BECAUSE OF ALLERGIES).

    • cough
    • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • fatigue
    • muscle or body aches
    • headache
    • new loss of taste or smell
    • sore throat
    • congestion or runny nose
    • nausea or vomiting
    • diarrhea
    • Have you travelled internationally in the past 7 days?
    • Have you travelled outside of New Jersey in the past 7 days?
  • If you answered yes, DO NOT enter the building until symptoms have been improving for more than 48 hours. If you have a medical condition that causes any of these symptoms and you need access this facility within the next few days, you will need a waiver from NJBIA's COO, Alice Gens. To begin the waiver process, please contact Alice at 609-858-9487 and request a waiver on your behalf. When you are contacted, please be ready to email medical documentation supporting your waiver request to Alice Gens. Waivers will only be granted in exigent circumstances and only if it is safe to do so. Fully vaccinated individuals with symptoms will also require a waiver if any of the above conditions exist.
