NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka was recently named to the 2026 Insider 100 Policymakers list by Insider NJ, which highlights the leaders in the Garden State who are making an impact on solving the state’s challenges on a wide range of issues.
As the leader of the state’s most impactful business organization, Siekerka is known for her tireless work to put the business community at the center of state policymaking to drive regional competitiveness, affordability and prosperity in New Jersey.
“NJBIA President Michele Siekerka holds over a decade’s worth of experience and accomplishments with the NJBIA, defending the business community’s interests in a state fraught with high corporate taxes and legislative challenges,” Insider NJ wrote on Tuesday.
“On behalf of the business community, she led the charge against the Climate Superfund Act. Skillfully navigating political circles, she has taken on Trenton policies under Murphy and Sherrill while also leading NJBIA’s partnership with the NJMEP.”
Insider NJ hailed Siekerka as “one of the state’s leading women business advocates,” noting she presented both 2025 gubernatorial candidates with NJBIA’s “Blueprint for a Competitive New Jersey,” a policy document that offers over 65 actionable solutions to a multitude of tax, education, labor, insurance and regulatory concerns.
