The NJ Economic Development Authority (EDA) has long had a reputation for being New Jersey’s bank for economic development. While much of the discussion in the news focuses on large companies, the EDA has a long history of support to small and mid-sized businesses, with a number of loan programs and financing options designed for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

According to its latest edition of BizBuzz, EDA has provided $537 million in financing to 218 small and mid-sized business last year, leveraging nearly $1 billion in public-private investment and creating 1,400 jobs.
