New Jersey employers and workforce organizations can get help from state labor market analysts to interpret employment, wage and demographic data, according to the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
The DOL’s Bureau of Labor Market Information has a team of labor market analysts who specialize in specific industries and regions. The analysts are available to help businesses and other organizations identify and interpret data relevant to their local labor markets.
Among the services offered is data discovery, in which analysts can research employment trends, wage information and demographic data based on an organization’s needs. The bureau also provides presentations on labor-market information for conferences, workforce boards, team meetings and other events.
The analysts also can prepare customized reports focused on specific industries, occupations, or geographic areas, the department said. The goal is to help organizations turn labor-market data into information that can support workforce planning and other business decisions.
DOL said it encourages businesses and other organizations to contact their local labor market analyst to discuss their specific data needs.
