Eighty-one percent of organizations say they don’t have a pay strategy that encompasses or is specific to remote employees, according to a new report by Payscale Inc., a leading provider of compensation data and software.

The survey found that most organizations are split between basing pay on factors like employer location or employee locations. Some 69% of organizations say they do not plan to lower pay for current employees who are working remotely. However, 73% say are concerned that continued remote work will change the competitive landscape.
