Montclair State University Designated a Public Research University
Gov. Chris Christie signed legislation that designates Montclair State University as a public research university in the company of Rutgers, NJIT and Rowan University. The legislation, A-4960 (Oliver, Giblin), puts the state’s second-largest university in a better position for grants and other funding. The law takes effect immediately.
