The Christie Institute for Public Policy recently hosted a candid discussion between former Gov. Chris Christie and NCAA President and former Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker for a on the rapidly changing landscape of college athletics.

The conversation explored the NCAA's evolving priorities—from expanded athlete health coverage and mental health standards to revenue sharing, sports-betting harassment, and reform of the transfer portal—while both leaders reflected on governance, litigation, and what it will take to bring long-term stability to the system for student-athletes and member institutions.

The Christie Institute for Public Policy was formed in 2019 by Gov. Christie, working in partnership with Seton Hall University Law School.
