On this past weekend’s Minding Your Business on News 12+, Children’s Specialized Hospital President and CEO Dr. Matthew McDonald joined Bob Considine to discuss leading pediatric specialty care and balancing it with healthcare costs in New Jersey.
“I think that as a physician/CEO I’m always making the connection between the strategy and the bedside and I love the expression vision over circumstance,” McDonald said.
“So I like to, as a clinician, bring the perspective of what does not just the one patient need, but what does the state or the country need in the form of, for example, access and then, as a CEO, how do I pull the right levers and ensure that those clinical services are financed appropriately in order to make them sustainable or replicable.”
