Meet the Gubernatorial Candidates – ELC Reception 2025 REGISTER

On this past weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, NJBIA Deputy Chief Government Affairs Officer Ray Cantor joined Bob Considine to discuss Land Use rules by the state Department of Environmental Protection that will greatly impact many New Jersey residents and businesses if finalized as proposed this summer.

“The main component of the rule is dealing with a projected sea level rise, which DEP is projecting at five foot by the year 2100, 75 years from now, at a 17 % probability,” Cantor said. “So they're taking these really low percentage probabilities of it happening, and we think the science is outdated to begin with, projected out to 2100, but applying those standards today.”

NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business” is a weekly TV show and the winner of seven Telly Awards over the past three years, including a gold 2024 Telly in the Interview & Talk Show category.
