On this past weekend’s Minding Your Business on News 12+, Start Strong NJ Campaign Director Sharon Levine joined Bob Considine to discuss their new statewide, nonpartisan effort to make childcare an essential economic infrastructure issue in New Jersey.
“Childcare is the linchpin of our economy,” Levine said. “When families and parents cut back their hours or drop out of the workforce entirely, employers struggle to meet workforce needs, they suffer from reduced productivity and they experience slowed growth.
“When we have a stable childcare system we are strengthening employers, we’re going to be able to provide growth opportunities for families, and we’re really going to protect New Jersey’s long-term economic future.”
