On this past weekend’s edition of NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business,” Anthony Saraceno, the head of operations at Real Antique Wood in Irvington, discussed how his unique business reclaims, restores and repurposes old wood for some truly beautiful products and projects.

Saraceno told host Bob Considine that the average piece of wood they work with is 120 years old – with some material they’ve used going all the way back to the 1740s.

“There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t say, ‘That’s a beautiful piece of wood,’ Saraceno said.

“It’s a dream come true to go to work and truly enjoy what you do – and be surrounded by a team here that feels the same way. In my eyes, that’s the American dream.”

NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business” is a weekly TV show that can be viewed at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday on News 12+, which is available on most Fios and Optimum systems in New Jersey.
