Affordable Employee Training Exclusively for NJBIA Members LEARN MORE

Officials from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development today walked NJBIA webinar listeners through the most important information they need to know about the state’s new rules affecting how tipped workers are impacted by the state’s minimum wage law.

The presentation by NJDOL policy advisor Christine Blumauer, investigator Martha Diaz, and Wage & Hour Compliance supervisor Michelle Simon, touched on the key elements of the Aug. 3 rules and related Wage & Hour Laws. It included a discussion on the minimum wage; tip ownership and tip pooling; overtime and paid sick time; and the so-called 80/20 rule and dual occupations.
