BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Feb. 27, 2019 – eTradeWire — WINGS for Growth is looking for 101 exceptional business people willing to mentor one woman seeking to grow professionally, change the culture of her workplace and make a difference in her community.

The non-profit organization, which empowers women to unleash their inner leader and accelerate their personal and professional growth, will kick off the search, called 101 Women on Deck, by introducing the first group of qualified mentors – both men and women – during a gala event March 14, 2019, at the iconic 4 Times Square in New York. Each mentor has chosen or will choose one businesswoman to form the organization’s 2019 cohort, the fourth such group WINGS for Growth has shepherded toward success since its founding in 2016.

“There are many, many extraordinary, hard-working women among us who just need a little guidance to reach that next level of their careers, who can benefit from a mentor that’s been there. 101 Women on Deck will partner mentors and mentees to successfully achieve one goal on the path to leadership,” said Varsha Waishampayan, WINGS for Growth’s founder and CEO. “Some of these women will then have the opportunity to participate in our 10-month Signature Program, which focuses on further development through mentoring, coaching and internship.”

101 Women on Deck will mobilize “Chief Change Agents” who are successful in their own careers and want to pay it forward. Each Chief Change Agent commits to mentor, ignite and unshackle the potential of their protégé, who will then inspire others in the work place and community with their purpose and vision. The goal is to inspire each woman to discover her own potential and ultimately become her own agent of change.

Thirty-five “Distinguished Chief Change Agents,” who will also act as advisors to WINGS for Growth, so far include:

·         Linda Bowden, New Jersey Regional President at PNC Bank

·         Michele Siekerka, Esq., President and CEO at New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA)

·         Regina Egea, President of the Garden State Initiative

·         Deborah Borg, Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer at Bunge

·         Charlie Wagstaff, Co-founder, MD and Board Mentor at Critical Eye

·         Eva Pittas, Founder and CEO, FinTech BRCG
