For the uninitiated, ChamberLink is a partnership between NJBIA and 17 local business organizations for the mutual benefit of our member companies. We coordinate our activities, join together in advocacy and offer member pricing to our events for our partners.
This is a good time to remind everyone that NJBIA’s ChamberLink benefits work both ways: I usually highlight chamber of commerce events that NJBIA members can attend for the local member price, but members of participating chambers can also attend NJBIA events at member price. And we got a doozy for you in September—the Women Business Leaders Forum.
NJBIA announced this week that the keynote speaker will be Jennifer Fleiss, co-founder of Rent the Runway, an internet sensation that let’s ordinary people rent, rather than buy, high-end dresses and accessories for major events. She also is the co-founder and CEO of Jetblack, a personal concierge shopping service that allows subscribers to use text and voice messages to order everything from paper towels to designer handbags.
Jennifer will share her experiences as a woman entrepreneur and e-tail industry disrupter on Sept. 20 in Long Branch at what has become NJBIA’s signature event. Last year’s Women Business Leaders Forum attracted over 500 people, and we’re expecting another big crowd this year.
And if you’re a member of one of our ChamberLink chambers, make sure you put in for the member price to attend.
