The Raritan Valley Community College Foundation recently raised over $135,000 at the 19th Annual RVCC Foundation Golf Classic to support student scholarships, educational programming, and other institutional priorities.

The golf classic is the nonprofit’s largest in-person fundraiser and this year’s outing on June 8 at the Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club in Whitehouse Station attracted some 60 corporate sponsors, including Title Sponsor, Dancker.

The event was another sellout and included enthusiastic golfers representing a wide range of local businesses from throughout Hunterdon and Somerset counties.

The day’s festivities were very much student focused and featured RVCC student greeters Andrew Brezina (Class of ’24), Toni Polvere (Class of ’24), Sandra Faragalla (Class of ’24), and Kelly Delaney (Class of ’24); the singing of the National Anthem by RVCC Music major and recent grad, Victoria Mango (Class of ’23). There was a pre-tourney Putting Contest featuring RVCC Men’s Golf Team member, Kenny Hunt (Class of ’24); reception music provided by RVCC Music students Ian Dalida (Class of ’23), Felipe Primero Guzman Jr. (Class of ’24), and Nicolas Gallegos (Class of ’24); a 50/50 raffle; and silent and live auctions.

The Golf Classic also featured inspiring remarks about the RVCC nursing program from Elicia Levandoski and Janet Nyambura, Class of ’23 nursing program grads who were two of 10 recipients of full scholarships from the Somerset Hills Community Health Foundation, and Tracey A. Keegan, a member of the College’s nursing faculty, a family nurse practitioner, and an RVCC nursing program grad (Class of ’95), who this year established a new nursing scholarship at RVCC in memory of her sister.
