The 44th Annual AFP-NJ Conference on Philanthropy will bring together more than 300 nonprofit executives and business leaders next month to focus on ways AI technology, data analytics, and leadership strategies can drive innovation in philanthropy forward. 

The New Jersey chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP-NJ) will hold this full-day event on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Bridgewater Marriott. The conference will feature informative programs, networking opportunities, exhibitors and optional executive coaching sessions.

Keynote speakers and topics include:

  • Martin L. Novom, a fundraising expert, mentor and inspiring who will share insights on the future of philanthropy. Novum is the founder of the Alexis de Tocqueville Institute, an advisory, educational, and research organization focusing on issues of charitable giving, volunteerism, and volunteer leadership. 
  • Rob Mitchell, nonprofit adviser and former chief development officer for the American Cancer Society, who will talk about strategic leadership and data-driven approaches 
  • Stacey Wedding, founder of Professionals in Philanthropy, who will speak about leadership through human connection.  

In addition to keynotes, the event will feature roundtable discussions, and interactive workshops, providing nonprofit and business leaders with strategies for AI-driven fundraising, donor retention, and leadership development.

Business leaders who attend will have the opportunity to connect with nonprofits that are tackling some of the most critical issues affecting New Jersey and form partnerships that can drive both economic development and community impact.
