This engaging and interactive session will walk participants through civility training. Civility training focuses on what to do as opposed to the typical anti-harassment training that focuses on what not to do. It starts at the top with all of your people leaders – from the front line to the C-suite.
The EEOC has concluded that incivility in a workplace is an antecedent to harassment and now encourages employers to provide civility training. Furthermore, workplace civility fosters a positive work environment that promotes engagement, retention, and inclusion.
The program reviews the definition of civility, the research that supports why it matters, and simple steps to initiate and cultivate a civil workplace.
Meet Our Featured Speaker
Erica DyReyes spent most of her career as an Employee Relations Director for a Fortune 500 company. She is an employment attorney with a mission to empower organizations with proactive HR training and consulting that promotes respectful workplaces and fosters compliance. She started Employee Relations Consulting, LLC. (“EmployeeRC”) in 2017 and her areas of expertise include hiring practices, Form I-9, leave management (FMLA/ADA), discipline and documentation, conducting internal investigations, responding to or mediating EEOC charges, workplace civility and unconscious bias.
EmployeeRC provides outsourced customized solutions for organizations of all sizes across the US. Customized training programs can be created and delivered on all areas of expertise to leaders, HR and employees. Erica is licensed to practice in NJ and PA. She has her BA from Lehigh University, JD from Rutgers University, and a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
