The Community FoodBank serves 15 counties in the state, distributing food to charities, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, food pantries and other places of need. It provides more than 90 million meals through its network every year.

Financial donations can be made online here. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the office locations listed below or by appointment at the NJCPA offices in Roseland.  Contact Susan Dyer at sdyer@njcpa.org or 862-702-5609 for more information.

The food drive is hosted by the NJCPA Emerging Leaders Council, an appointed leadership group that addresses the needs of NJCPA members with up to 10 years of experience, including aspiring CPAs and new licensees.

The Council is looking to meet or exceed last year’s collection of approximately 2,500 pounds of nonperishable items and canned goods and more than $35,000 in monetary contributions.

Since 2010, the NJCPA has donated more than 20,000 pounds of food to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

“Stamping out hunger in New Jersey is everyone’s responsibility. This annual food drive is an important reminder of how we can all assist the community,” said Zachary Cohen, CPA, senior manager at CFGI and chair of the NJCPA Emerging Leaders Council.

“We appreciate all the generous donations of our members and time spent collecting and organizing these food supplies. It’s truly a concerted effort to reduce hunger in our state,” said Aiysha (AJ) Johnson, MA, IOM, CEO and executive director at the NJCPA.
