Before the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) revised its Form I-9. Employers are now required to use the new Employment Eligibility Verification Form.
Attorneys Scott P. Humphreys and Michael A. Shadiack of Connell Foley law firm have an update on the topic.
“This form applies to all employers in the United States and must be completed for each new employee hired,” the attorneys said. “Employers must now use the new Form I-9 as compliance became mandatory after April 30, 2020.”
