On this past weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12, NJBIA gave advice to future business leaders with a discussion on how next-gen management can lead through uncertain times.
Panelists for the discussion included:
- Daniel Klim, CEO, New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association
- Cyndie Williams, Executive Director, Carpenter Contractor Trust
- Jessica S. Quintana Boyd, Owner/Operator, McDonald’s Corporation
- (Moderator) Dr. Taneice Lewis, Motivational Speaker, Author, Business Coach, Pray for Rain LLC
“I think uncertainty is often unprecedented, which means it doesn’t come with a manual… And I know we’re all tired of talking about it, but let’s take COVID… we had no idea what we were doing. Businesses shut down, restaurants shut down. We had to determine what was essential,” Klim said.
“At the time I was in healthcare, I was representing the physical therapy population and how were people gonna get their services. Well, what good would it have been as a leader to just say, I don’t know, right? We had to move forward. You move forward; you figure it out.”
NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business” is a weekly TV show and the winner of seven Telly Awards over the past three years, including a gold 2024 Telly in the Interview & Talk Show category.
