On this past weekend’s episode of “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, NJBIA Chief Government Affairs Officer Christopher Emigholz talked with Bob Considine about the good and the bad about Gov. Phil Murphy’s budget proposal for FY26, and how it might be finalized by June 30.
“Similar to last year’s disappointment, which I think exceeded disappointment last year with the tax on the business community, I see it disappointing again,” Emigholz said.
“We have the same kind of stubborn recurring structural deficit that we’ve had in recent years and that’s not fixed. It’s a little smaller than it used to be. But we still have this $1.2 billion where we’re spending more than we’re bringing in. That’s not sustainable.”
