Meet the Gubernatorial Candidates – ELC Reception 2025 REGISTER

On this past weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, the show covered NJBIA’s recent Business Mania event and a spotlight discussion with Citizens Business Banking Market Executive Nuno Francisco and NJBIA Chief Government Officer Christopher Emigholz on the challenges businesses face in navigating economic uncertainty in New Jersey.

“We always get questions about what’s going on in the Legislature, what’s going on in the governor’s office, [but] we’ve gotten more calls about federal policy issues than I’ve ever seen at BIA over the past couple of months,” Emigholz said.

“Whether it’s tariffs, immigration, [or] funding freezes, I think that is all something the BIA Government Affairs team has had to jump in to work on,” he said. “We know that New Jersey is overly regulated … but now having this uncertainty about what’s gonna happen in our state budget. We also are facing political uncertainties where we're going to have a new governor no matter what.

“So we’re working on the federal side, working on the state side, working on the political side, and trying to navigate these uncertainties.”

NJBIA’s “Minding Your Business” is a weekly TV show and the winner of seven Telly Awards over the past three years, including a gold 2024 Telly in the Interview & Talk Show category.
