On this past weekend’s “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, entrepreneur Lauren Borawski discussed how she created and developed a successful DIY business called Child’s Play Challenge Courses – leading her to win this year’s U.S. Small Business Administration’s New Jersey Business of the Year.
Borawski told host Bob Considine how the business rapidly grew during the COVID-19 pandemic, where kids often weren’t able to have birthday parties. Child’s Play Challenge Courses has now grown enough to where it is being franchised, and Borawski is expanding her leadership voice for entrepreneurs.
“I would love to be able to inspire other folks to start small businesses,” Borawski said. “I left my corporate career behind after 24 years to franchise our business and focus on it. I want other folks to know that you can do that.
“I think the worst thing you can be is stuck in indecision. I want people to know – go with your gut. If you have a small business that you want to start up, you can do this.”
